Business analysis has traditionally been viewed as bridging the gap between business needs and IT delivery. This is no longer enough. The value offering for a BA needs to be from project inception through to benefits delivery. This includes ensuring that there is a clear link between strategy and project intent, ensuring that business requirement is communicated across the project team (i.e. to IT, to business, to external stakeholders, etc.), ensuring that delivery can be measured against requirement, ensuring that the change can be proactively managed.
